Dussehra is usually celebrated on the tenth day, after the Navratri, which is again a nine day festival in which people worship goddess Durga. This time, Dussehra will be celebrated on Saturday, 

September 30 2017.

How is Dussehra celebrated ?

On this day, people burn the statues of the demons (Ravan, Kumbhkaran, and Meghnath) on different places. Not only this, but in many parts of India, people also immerses the statues’ and idols of Goddess Durga, after worshiping Goddess Durga and her weapons. Other rituals that are performed on this auspicious day are Aprajita puja, Seema Avalanghan and Shami puja.  Following this tradition, Dussehra 2017, will be celebrated in this manner only.
